Every year Blacktown council runs the Blacktown City Art prize. They have artists from all over Australia enter the competition and only 100 are selected for the exhibition. Our very own artist in residence Marg, was a finalist in this year's competition. Congratulations Marg!!!
At the same time, the Young Artist Competition takes place. Our students were invited to participate in the competition and for the students who did, Marg submitted their entries.
All work submitted from St Bernadette’s students have been displayed in the exhibition. Prizes for each age group will be announced tomorrow.
We would like to thank Marg, for her ongoing creativity and her efforts to foster our own creative talents here at St Bernadette's

A HUGE shout out to this amazing little gymnast. In August she had the opportunity to both train and compete at the Waverley Gymnastics Centre in Melbourne. She was lucky enough to meet Australian gymnast Emily Whitehead and then compete. This super star placed 1st on vault, 1st on beam and 2nd on floor resulting in her finishing 1st overall individually and 1st overall as part of her team!!! Well done you should be so proud of yourself and the work you did to achieve these fantastic results!!! 💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛

Happy happy birthday to all our St Bernie’s children who celebrated in AUGUST!!! There were jumping castles, soccer gala days, family and friends parties, going out to brunch, lunch or dinner, going to Timezone or Athletics, not to mention a book parade. There were also lots of yummy birthday cakes to be eaten, including MarioKart, Fortnite, chocolate, rainbow and ice cream cakes!!! There were even cupcakes and ice blocks at school for friends.
