Today, along with 6275 other schools, St Bernadette’s took a stand against bullying and violence.
The National Day of Action against Bullying and Violence (NDA) is Australia’s key bullying prevention initiative, connecting schools and communities to find workable solutions to bullying and violence.
Our day commenced with our School Representative Council leading each stage in prayer. We participated in activities that help arm our students with the ability to combat bullying and violence in their day to day lives.
The resources we used for activities throughout each of our learning spaces aim to help students understand and recognise what bullying is, how to report it, and where to get help.
The students also created a wonderful mural to stand together today to say BULLYING. NO WAY!

Stage 2 did a beautiful job of sharing their Religious learning for the term through their Stage 2 Liturgy. The students were respectful, prayerful and enthusiastic in their contributions to the Liturgy. Their participation was beautiful and an absolute blessing to be a part of! On our Reconciliation Celebration Day, we were blessed to have Uncle Brad come and talk with all the students to deepen their understanding of Indigenous culture. He shared Indigenous tools, their purpose and significance and also how they are made. Our students loved this time, especially being able to watch how these tools were made. This term our Year 2, Year 3 and Indigenous students, K-6, participated in the CAPTIVATE 'HoneyBee' Dance Program, spanning over 6 weeks. The program provided a wonderful opportunity for these students to develop a deeper understanding of Aboriginal culture through dance. We loved watching the performances and seeing the absolute joy on the faces of our students and the pride of their teachers as they shared their learning. πππππππππππ

Congratulations to all our super athletes who won Age Champions and Runner Up Age Champions! Our Athletics Carnival was a great day for our students to develop their skills, all the while having some fun. We were so proud of everyone on the day - especially those who participated in all the events and showed great sprotsmanship! A HUGE thanks to all the staff who made this event possible, especially Miss Savva and Miss Callanta, along with our parent helpers on the day. Thanks also to the Parent Group for offering a snack pack for our kids. πππππππππ

Happy Happy Birthday to all our JUNE babies! They have been enjoying birthday parties with friends at home, at Timezone, at the park and of course celebrating with family out at their faviourite restaurants, including McDonalds! They loved their presents, some requested and some surprises; and of course they enjoyed eating lots of birthday cake! Here's to another year if fun, family and growth!
