The Diocesan Religious Education syllabus is used from Kindergarten to Year 6 to to connect faith, learning and life.
The Religious Education program provided students with the opportunity to hear, reflect on and respond to Scripture as appropriate to the unit being studied.
The syllabus provides sequenced units of work which allow for the children to build on their knowledge and skills, and values and attitudes of our faith. We incorporate aspects of our Catholic tradition into our teaching.
Liturgies, prayer celebrations and special feasts are an important part of school life at St Bernadette's Primary. Our liturgical celebrations are open to our whole community and we take advantage of our church, hall and beautiful school surroundings for these celebrations.
We work in partnership with the Parish, involving classes from the school in the Sunday children’s Mass. The Sacramental program is parish-based with the appropriate Religious Education units being taught in support of the program.
