The Justice and Faith Committee started the celebration of Catholic Schools Week by inviting students to write prayers of Thanksgiving, Supplication or forgiveness.
All prayers will be displayed on the St Bernadette's Prayer tree.

Stage 1 enjoyed their excursion out to Lizard Log last week to investigate pushing and pulling. What a beautiful day to get outside to do some hands on learning! It certainly looks like everyone had a fantastic day! ππππππππππππ

Last Thursday and Friday we had the pleasure of hosting 6 Japanese Primary school students from Sugao Gakuen School in Tokyo. The Year 5 & 6 students were brave enough to accompany their Principal and teacher from Japan all the way to Australia to put their English skills to the test. Both the Japanese students and the St Bernies students were excited to meet each other, learn from each other and play together. What an amazing experience for everyone! Thanks also to some of our families who took the students into their homes to immerse them in Australian living. ππ―π΅ππ―π΅ππ―π΅ππ―π΅ππ―π΅

Happy happy birthday to all our JULY BIRTHDAYS! They have had a wonderful time celebrating their birthdays this month with family and friends. They had parties at home; went to Flip Out, Winter Fest & Canberra; ate chocolate cake, ice cream cake, strawberry cake & cheesecake. They were excited to get LEGO, ice skating Barbie, books and someone even got a puppy. But most of all they loved celebrating with friends at school. On our Reconciliation Celebration Day, we were blessed to have Uncle Brad come and talk with all the students to deepen their understanding of Indigenous culture. He shared Indigenous tools, their purpose and significance and also how they are made. Our students loved this time, especially being able to watch how these tools were made.
