The Justice and Faith Committee started the celebration of Catholic Schools Week by inviting students to write prayers of Thanksgiving, Supplication or forgiveness.
All prayers will be displayed on the St Bernadette's Prayer tree.

This term our Year 2, Year 3 and Indigenous students, K-6, participated in the CAPTIVATE 'HoneyBee' Dance Program, spanning over 6 weeks. The program provided a wonderful opportunity for these students to develop a deeper understanding of Aboriginal culture through dance. We loved watching the performances and seeing the absolute joy on the faces of our students and the pride of their teachers as they shared their learning. πππππππππππ

Congratulations to all our super athletes who won Age Champions and Runner Up Age Champions! Our Athletics Carnival was a great day for our students to develop their skills, all the while having some fun. We were so proud of everyone on the day - especially those who participated in all the events and showed great sprotsmanship! A HUGE thanks to all the staff who made this event possible, especially Miss Savva and Miss Callanta, along with our parent helpers on the day. Thanks also to the Parent Group for offering a snack pack for our kids. πππππππππ

Happy Happy Birthday to all our JUNE babies! They have been enjoying birthday parties with friends at home, at Timezone, at the park and of course celebrating with family out at their faviourite restaurants, including McDonalds! They loved their presents, some requested and some surprises; and of course they enjoyed eating lots of birthday cake! Here's to another year if fun, family and growth!

Stage 3 did a wonderful job with their Celebration of Learning last Friday. It was such a pleasure to hear all about what you been learning and to see some of your amazing work!!! Happy happy MAY birthdays to all our wonderful children who celebrated with family and friends over the last month!!! I can assure you all they had a fabulous time celebrating another year getting older! We had children going out for lunch and dinner at Nandos, Chinese, Sushi and San Churros; going to Timezone, the movies, Olympic Park Pool and Area 51; sharing Zooper Doopers and donuts with friends; and loving opening some presents including robotic dogs, dolls, board games and even a flower pillow; one student even donated food to the poor as part of his birthday celebrations!!! Well we had a fabulous time sharing our excitement around our totem of the Blue Tongue Lizard with SBS News yesterday!! They filmed our students working with the team from Jarara (CSPD) and the Rangers working on our first garden designed to protect Bluey!! We will let you know when the story will air on TV!!! Exciting times today our temporary toilets were delivered!!! The work on renovating our student toilets begins Monday. The project will hopefully be finished early next term. We will keep you updated. ππππππππ
