Patrician Brothers’ came to St Bernadette’s on Wednesday to show their support for the St Bernadette’s community during this time of loss.
The staff and students from Patrician Brothers’ wanted to do something for the children that would help show that the extended community is with them in solidarity at this hard time.
The team led by Santo Passarello organised and ran a BBQ lunch for the students and staff whilst providing musicians for entertainment. This was a fun afternoon showing the students that others care.
We thank the Patrician Brothers’ community for this heartfelt gesture. Bringing some food, musicians and fun to what has been a challenging time for the community. It affirming to know that we stand together as a Catholic community.

Last week I had to shift my support to the NRL because we had the Parramatta Eels come out to school to talk about positive wellbeing and of course promote the game of Rugby League. While Iβm not an Eels fan we certainly had a few fans around and I loved listening to the players and the positive advice they had for our students!!! BTW our kids asked some pretty AMAZING questions - we were so proud of them!!! ππππππππππ

Last week our Year 6 Mission & FIAT Leaders were invited to attend the CSPD Project Compassion Launch!! They were blessed to not only join other students from Parramatta but also to hear from Bishop Vincent and Mr Jack de Groot. We can not wait to see how these young people share their learning with us and lead us during our time of Lent and Project Compassion. πβοΈπβοΈπβοΈπβοΈπβοΈ

Our WELCOME BBQ was small in number but big in energy and enjoyment!! Thanks to the Parent Group for the free sausage sizzle; to the staff who had so much fun; and to all our families who attended. Stage 3 have wasted no time getting busy in their first Stage 3 Leadership Meeting. Our Captains, Vice Captains & SRC worked with Mrs B; the Sport Team worked with Miss Callanta; the Mission FIAT Team worked with Mrs Stone & Mrs Brothers; while the Community Team worked with Mrs Chand; and the Environment Team worked with Miss Leonardo. Lunch time and Afternoon Tea for Kindergarten is always a time for learning! Learning how to eat on their own without mum and dad. Learning how to eat everything that mum and dad have packed - Iβm sometimes not sure I could do that. π And learning how to balance eating and making friends at the same time!!
