Last week on Friday, the 6th of November 2020, Stage 3 had an incursion in school. It was so much fun as we got to see Canberra and the famous sites there.
First we watched a video about Parliament House and it was inspiring as there was so much to learn about. Then we had to do a crossword puzzle that related to the video we watched about Parliament House.
Right after the crossword puzzle we did a trivia which was hard because there were questions I didn’t know. Straight after we did a minute to win it, which meant you had to blow up a balloon and let the air out to move 11 cups off the table.
We then moved back into the shared space to look at a video which was the war memorial. It was nice to know the past wars Australia participated in. Then it was recess.
After recess we went to Questacon and we built a sculpture out of spaghetti and marshmallows. I didn’t touch anything as I hate marshmallows.
After Questacon we watched a tour of the National Gallery of Australia and saw some paintings that had meaning behind it. As everyone was so inspired the teachers put out paint and we made a fabulous painting of a mountain that was already in the gallery. Then it was Lunch.
At lunch I got my pie. It was delicious and scrumptious. It was great to see everyone happy in the incursion.
After lunch we watched a video for the Australian institute of sport. We watched people do a dribbling activity with two balls. Then we got into groups and did the same activity we just watched. It was hard and fun at the same time.
The day ended and it was time for everyone to head home. This was a day I will never forget.

Happy happy MAY birthdays to all our wonderful children who celebrated with family and friends over the last month!!! I can assure you all they had a fabulous time celebrating another year getting older! We had children going out for lunch and dinner at Nandos, Chinese, Sushi and San Churros; going to Timezone, the movies, Olympic Park Pool and Area 51; sharing Zooper Doopers and donuts with friends; and loving opening some presents including robotic dogs, dolls, board games and even a flower pillow; one student even donated food to the poor as part of his birthday celebrations!!! Iβm so glad you all had a wonderful time celebrating you!! ππππππππ»π₯³

Well we had a fabulous time sharing our excitement around our totem of the Blue Tongue Lizard with SBS News yesterday!! They filmed our students working with the team from Jarara (CSPD) and the Rangers working on our first garden designed to protect Bluey!! We will let you know when the story will air on TV!!! We are so excited for our after school NRL sessions starting this afternoon from 3:30pm to 4:30pm. The children thoroughly enjoyed our two sessions over two weeks with the Parramatta Eels. Our girls especially loved having Elsie Albert, Parramatta prop lead the sessions - what an inspiration. ππππππππππ
