St Bernadette’s has a spectacular new Adventure Playground which is a purpose designed space. This provides our infants students with a fresh and exciting space to discover and play in during recess and lunch.
We now have a brand new soccer field, giant chess board, hopscotch, handball courts and rope additions to the existing play frame. A new Buddy Bench has also been installed. The Buddy Bench will give students a space to go to if they are looking for someone to play with. This is consistent with our overall goal at St Bernadette’s to encourage the positive wellbeing of every student, every day.
As well as being a space for break times, the new playground will be utilised by all stages for sport and other outdoor learning activities.
Our Breakout Space has also had some new furniture installed, adding to it’s already amazing appeal.

Itβs time to wish our November Birthday students HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! They have had a great month celebrating from Flip Out, to cousin get togethers, to a Sydney Kings Game, to play centres, to escape rooms and simply chilling at home!! The cakes included Fortnite, Bischoff, chocolate, Venom and Skittles!! And of course gifts galore!! Thanks for sharing your special days with all of us!!! ππππ₯³πππ

Last Friday we had our Twilight Swimming Carnival for all our fabulous St Bernadetteβs swimmers! We had 27 swimmers in total and they all did their absolute best and showed great sportsmanship by cheering their peers right to the end of each race!! I especially loved watching our Year 6 swimmers enjoying their last swimming carnival in primary school!! Well done! ππ©΅ππ©΅ππ©΅ππ©΅

This week we had our last Transition Session #4 for Kindergarten 2026. We loved seeing a few new faces for the first time and lots of return visitors. Next up Orientation Morning #1!!! On Tuesday the 11th of November we paused to pay respect and join together in prayer to remember the service and sacrifice of our veterans and people currently serving! It was beautiful to come together in our church to not only remember but pray for all those affected by war, including those experiencing war now. Thanks to all our students and staff who prepared for and participated in our liturgy. Thanks also to those parents, carers and friends who were also able to join us. ππΊππΊππΊππΊππΊ

Last week our Year 3 students completed the entire writing process, moving from planning, drafting, editing, re-drafting, editing, all the way through to publishing!! They composed and published stories inspired by Dreamtime narratives they have read during their learning time. Year 3 were then so excited and proud to share their stories with Kindergarten.
