The Australian Catholic Bishops Conference (ACBC) has welcomed the election of Cardinal Robert Francis Prevost as the Pope, now to be known by the name Leo XIV. This represents a momentous event in the life of the Catholic Church, the wider community of Christian believers and, in many respects, the whole world. Conference President, Archbishop Costelloe said Pope Francis had “reminded us that unity does not demand uniformity, but rather openness to the rich diversity of the many cultures and traditions which are part of our Christian heritage”. Pope Leo XIV paid tribute to Pope Francis in his first remarks, which focused on peace. “Peace be with all of you,” he said. He urged the faithful to “move forward, without fear, united, hand in hand with God and with each other”. Let us all pray for Pope Leo 💛🙏🏻💛🙏🏻💛🙏🏻💛🙏🏻

Tomorrow or Stage 1 students will continue with their Kitchen Garden Program. Both Year 1 and Year 2 in small groups work out in Bluey’s Patch tending to the veggie garden and then get ‘cooking’ and prepare something using items they have gathered from the patch. Last term they made flavoured their water using herbs from the garden and other fruits. A great way to get kids interested and trying healthy food. What will they make this term??? 💛🌿💛🌿💛🌿💛🌿

Last term we celebrated two of our beautiful Early Career Teachers - Miss Sultana & Miss Dring. We have been so blessed with these beautiful young ladies already and they are so new to their vocation. Both ladies have such beautiful passion for their work, amazing dedication to all they undertake, they are fantastic educators, and most importantly they love our kids and our school. On Friday we celebrated our ANZAC Day Liturgy a little differently due to the unpredictable weather. Year 3, 4 and KBlue gathered in the year 3 space and all the other classes gathered in their respective spaces. Our Stage 3 Mission Team led our liturgy with KBlue in charge of the Gospel procession and 3Gold sharing their reflections. Our students were both respectfully and prayerful. We will remember them.
